Combination trips

Two trips, one journey.

Most people who come this far do not come for one thing. The mountain and the parks share a base in Moshi; the coast is an hour’s flight from either. Combining them is cheaper and simpler than booking them apart, because the transfers, the vehicles and the guides are all ours.

01 — The three that work

Pick the pairing.

Beach on the east coast of Zanzibar

Safari + Zanzibar

The parks first, then five nights on the coast. This is the only combination with a published fixed price: $590 per person added to a trip already booked with us.

Safari + Zanzibar →

Climbers on Mount Kilimanjaro

Kilimanjaro + safari

Climb first, then the parks — you are already acclimatised, already in Moshi, and the drive to Tarangire is short. Quoted per itinerary.

Kilimanjaro + safari →

Mount Kilimanjaro above the cloud line

All three

Mountain, parks, ocean, in that order, in about two to three weeks. The longest trip we run outside the Explorer safaris. Quoted per itinerary.

02 — Why order matters

Climb first. Always.

Do the mountain while you are fresh and while your legs are still yours. A safari afterwards is restful in a way it simply is not beforehand, and if the weather closes in on the summit attempt there is room in the trip to move it.

Zanzibar goes last for the obvious reason. Flying from Kilimanjaro to the coast takes about an hour, so the beach is genuinely the end of the trip rather than a second holiday.

Tell us how long you have.

Give us the number of days and roughly when. We will lay out what fits — and tell you if the answer is that it does not, rather than compressing a climb into too few days.

No deposit and no obligation — we reply with a suggested route, the lodges at your tier and the real per-person price. We do not pass your details to anyone else.
